Improvement and systems

Part of our Trust-wide Improvement programme, supported by the Health Foundation, this webinar on 27 September 2022, explored how we can drive improvement across organisational barriers. We were pleased to be joined by Julian Hartley and Lucy Cole from Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, who shared their experience, insights and perspective on the board's role in supporting improvement in partnership.

In this one-hour session, the panel reflected on:

• how the Leeds Improvement Method strategic triangle links to and underpins the wider WYAAT approach to improvement
• what makes their collaborative approach work
• how the collaborative mitigates risk of 'winners' and 'losers'
• maintaining board culture through personnel changes
• examples of what’s been achieved
• key reflections for peers improving in partnership with others.
