Fighting fit: plenary speakers announced

17 June 2016

The programme for the 2016 NHS Providers annual conference and exhibition is coming together, and we are delighted to announce the first set of speakers for the main stage:

Jim Mackey, chief executive, NHS Improvement

One year into his post as chief executive of NHS Improvement, Jim will give his candid view on the financial and operational challenges facing the provider sector, and how NHS Improvement is adapting its regulatory approach to oversee and support providers.

Simon Stevens, chief executive, NHS England

Simon will share his perspective on how the NHS is implementing the aspirations of the NHS Five year forward view, and how place-based working can transform how care is delivered to patients and service users.

David Behan, chief executive, Care Quality Commission

Following the publication of their new five year strategy, David will share his vision for how a more targeted, responsive and collaborative approach to quality regulation can support NHS providers to deliver better care.

Further details will be announced shortly, keep an eye on our conference pages and on Twitter for updates.
