After the most challenging year in the health service's history, we are reminded of the need to collaborate, share and learn from each other. Working with NHS Providers as a commercial partner now presents the opportunity to do just that.

The NHS benefits from the products, equipment, services and solutions commercial partners have to offer. With over 500 million patient interactions a year and an annual budget of around £130bn, many NHS services deliver care thanks to the important contribution of the commercial and third sectors. This includes our members – the 213 trusts and foundation trusts across England, providing hospital, mental health, community and ambulance services.

Equally, our commercial partners have much to gain from a closer and deeper understanding of our members' expertise and experience. Trusts are pioneering new ways of working, adapting to meet unprecedented demand and discovering new medicines, treatments and therapies for patients. They welcome the support that commercial partners can bring but also expect them to understand the environment within which they operate.

We have worked with commercial partners to deliver value to our members in a variety of ways.

Recognising this synergy, we have worked with commercial partners to deliver value to our members in a variety of ways – from joint publications to thought leadership sessions and webinars. We have seen the impact that successful partnership working can have in how trusts deliver care and believe that suppliers to the NHS are an integral part of the sector – bringing a wealth of innovation, efficiencies and ideas.

As a membership organisation, with multiple partners, we do not endorse individual products. However, we do feel it is important as trusts are working through challenges at an extraordinary pace, to let them know more about how commercial partners can help.

We will be shining a spotlight on how new opportunities can be embraced across health and care at our annual conference and exhibition in Liverpool this November.

That's why we will be shining a spotlight on how new opportunities can be embraced across health and care at our annual conference and exhibition in Liverpool this November. Through the theme of 'Together', we will focus on the work trusts are doing – with partners – to deliver integration, how a sustainable NHS fit for the 21st century can be created and ways in which the health service can respond collaboratively to address health inequalities.

It will also be an opportunity for commercial partners to place their organisation alongside health leaders for the first time since the pandemic and outline products, services or solutions to NHS decision makers.

To find out more about our commercial partners and what they can offer your trust, download our latest brochure and have a look at the opportunities available at this year's annual conference.
