Course overview

The board has overall responsibility and accountability for risk. Risk appetite defines the boundaries of risk an organisation is willing to take when making decisions and taking actions to deliver on its strategy. Risk appetite has a crucial role in effective risk management but is a complex area which involves balancing competing interests.

This half day training for board members explores an industry-leading approach to setting and embedding a board-level risk appetite providing you with the hands-on skills and practical knowledge to build, implement and embed an effective risk appetite approach for your organisation.

You will also learn precisely about how risk appetite forms part of your organisation’s risk management framework and how these key risk appetite concepts can be used as part of your Board’s day-to-day decision making processes.

Who should attend?

Great event - thanks for organising it and really glad I managed to carve out some precious learning time from a hectic diary! Time well spent!
