24 August 2016

We are delighted to announce further details for the plenary programme of our annual conference and exhibition, taking place at the ICC in Birmingham on 29-30 November 2016.

If you have not already booked your place, you can do so online. Members benefit from a reduced rate, and all delegates can take advantage of group discounts of up to 25% to maximise shared learning and motivation.

The latest speakers to join the plenary line-up are:

Jeremy Hunt, secretary of state for health

The secretary of state will address the provider sector at the midway point of this critical year for the NHS in which it is seeking to make substantive progress towards delivering the NHS Five year forward view in the context of the imperatives of returning to financial balance, delivering identified efficiencies, and meeting performance and access targets.

Lord Carter of Coles, chair, procurement and efficiency board, Department of Health

Lord Carter will update delegates on how operational productivity in the NHS can be improved, and how his development of the model hospital programme can support providers of frontline services. As a non-executive director of NHS Improvement, Lord Carter will also share his broader insights into the challenges and opportunities facing the boards of NHS providers.

Other confirmed speakers include NHS Improvement chief executive Jim Mackey, NHS England chief executive Simon Stevens, and Care Quality Commission chief executive David Behan. Keep an eye on the event pages and on Twitter for further updates.
