In conversation with Sir Sam Everington OBE

22 March 2016

NHS Providers, the NHS Confederation, NHS Clinical Commissioners and the Local Government Association are currently working together to help spread the learning from the vanguard programme more widely across the health and care sector.

As part of this work, we have interviewed a range of NHS leaders about the opportunities and challenges involved in establishing new models of care.

The final interview in this series is with Sir Sam Everington OBE, a GP, chair of Tower Hamlets CCG, clinical adviser to the new care models programme and leader of a vanguard in Tower Hamlets.

The conversation, led by Helen Birtwhistle of the NHS Confederation, covers Sam's views on why relationships are so integral to helping spread innovation and good practice, and the importance of the NHS showing humility when considering the things that contribute towards a person's health and wellbeing.
